The Geode Chair is 170 laser cut and then hand painted triangles (made out of MDF) joined by 800+ zip ties. It is based on a self-stabilizing triangle system–there is no glue and there are no nails, the construction relies on loose joints made via zip ties that are folded in such a way that they could hold over 200 lbs. The spiked exterior and jewel-colored interior invoke notions of the Geode, and the custom-cut star pattern in each panel as well as interior lights turn the chance to sit into an experience.
